Historically, a villa refers to a building designed for leisure and enjoyment—open spaces connecting to the outdoors, a swimming pool, and an orientation that maximizes views. A luxury home, on the other hand, suggests a sense of belonging: a building that is often older or more traditional, designed for family life and passing down traditions rather than for vacationing.
