This building was erected in 1770 on the ruins of a 13th-century castle. The architect to whom we owe this magnificent work was none other than Louis Victor (designer of the Bordeaux Opera House), commissioned by an aristocratic family who had made their fortune in Martinique.

This edifice, which has stood the test of time, consists of a main stone building and two wings of outbuildings set at right angles, in the center of which lies a magnificent paved courtyard enclosed by a monumental gate flanked by two railings on either side. It is worth noting that this ironwork is protected and listed (MH).
The property is built of stone on four levels, its distinctive feature being two levels on the main facade and four at the rear, the whole topped with a traditional (canal) tile roof. Numerous openings create a well-balanced and harmonious whole.
