In the Bordeaux region, behind the chatelet housing an old drawbridge, we discover a magnificent 11th century castle. Marked by the various episodes of the Hundred Years' War which troubled the region, the fortress was partially destroyed and rebuilt during the 16th century. The castle is listed as a historic monument for all the buildings constructed and for the entrance gate.
