This beautiful wine estate is located on the border of the Gironde and Dordogne departments, benefiting from excellent transport links: Paris is 3 hours away by TGV, Bordeaux 1 hour, and Bergerac airport is 25 minutes away. In 1992, the Château was acquired by the current owner, giving the vineyard a fresh start. It was then completely renovated and expanded to continue producing fine Bordeaux wines. The vineyard grew from 12 hectares to 80 hectares, producing Bordeaux Supérieur red wines and Sauvignon Blanc white wines. The "High Environmental Quality" (HVE3) label certifies the estate's commitment to environmental protection. The entire vineyard is in perfect condition, the average production is 50 to 55 Hl/ha (in a normal year).
The largest area, 54.54 hectares, is planted primarily with Merlot (28.31 hectares, including 1.24 hectares planted in 2018-2019), Cabernet Sauvignon (10.70 hectares), Cabernet Franc (6.84 hectares), and Malbec (5.13 hectares planted in 2011-2012) on clay-limestone soil on sandy slopes at the bottom. There is also 1.7 hectares of bare land to be planted (planting rights acquired). Two other production sites near the winery are planted with Merlot (3.75 hectares), Cabernet Sauvignon (5 hectares), and, for the last site, 24.71 hectares, including 2.50 hectares of arable land (3 hectares of white grapes in production). The property includes a large manor house, occupied by the estate manager, and an adjoining 75m² apartment rented on a yearly basis. The agricultural facilities are complete, functional, and well-maintained; an inventory is available. The production of approximately 4,300 hectoliters is currently fully reserved under an existing commercial contract. The modern and functional winery is equipped with heating and cooling units and is fully temperature-controlled, with a total capacity of 9,353 hectoliters: Stainless steel tanks (7,645 hectoliters), Epoxy-coated cement tanks (928 hectoliters), Fiberglass tanks (780 hectoliters), and a Barrel Cellar. The Château also boasts a magnificent barrel cellar with a capacity of 400 barrels. Currently, 164 400-liter French oak barrels occupy this space, with gravel on the floor beneath the barrels to maintain a constant temperature of 17°C (ventilation). This cellar has direct access to the tasting room and sales area. This 80m² room can also be used to host seminars or other events.
