History:

Origins before 1880:
The house was built before 1880, probably on an even older structure. Around 1880-1890, it had a main body of two floors and a ground floor wing with a terrace.

Successive owners:

Captain Robert Vyner: Possession for about 40 years until 1920.
Lady Michellam (1920s): She redesigned the gardens. At this time, the architecture changed with a single-story central plan building decorated with a triangular pediment on the south facade.
Miss Capel: She sold the property in 1928 to Louis Hachette for 2 million francs. He tried to resell it in 1930.

Main period of construction:
The building dates mainly from the 3rd quarter of the 19th century.

Architectural Description:

Structure and general plan:
Asymmetrical plan with several courtyards and three service staircases.
Main body: Nearly square two-story block with a tripartite plan centered around the vestibule and main staircase.
Interior of the ground floor:
Vestibule with a large opening framed by two columns.
Central staircase with two parallel flights.
Dining room, living room, office, kitchen and annexes.
Upper floor:
First floor: 7 bedrooms, a boudoir and a living room.
Second floor: 6 bedrooms, a bathroom and attics.
Secondary body:
U-shaped plan around an interior courtyard with spaces such as a stable, cellar, greenhouse and cellars.
Features an octagonal room and additional bedrooms upstairs.
Facades:
South facade: Orderly with 3 polygonal oriel windows and decorative pediments.
East facade: Living room extended by a rectangular oriel window.
Balustrades at the top of the facades.

This villa combines elements of 19th century architecture and has undergone notable modifications over the decades, particularly under the stewardship of its various owners
