Luberon - Exceptional Chateau in Provence

This castle, a historic monument since 1957, is located in the Luberon, a few kilometers from Forcalquier.
It is an exceptional property dating from the beginning of the 18th century, built on the initiative of the family of Forbin-Janson according to plans of the famous Parisian architect Pierre-Alexis Delamair (Hotel de Soubise and Hôtel de Rohan in Paris, both housing the National Archives, Palais des Rohan in Strasbourg ...), with the assistance of the Avignon architect Jean-Baptiste Frankish (Calvet Museum in Avignon Ninthe at Châteauneuf-du-Pape…).

The property is located on an unpolled land of around 14 ha, forming a park which opens onto the grandiose landscape of the village and the mountain of Lure.

Restored for almost 40 years, the castle has found its vintage chandelier: tapestries, low reliefs, aging chandeliers and found furniture, testify to detail, heritage and the history of the castle.

High of two levels on around 1600m2 according to a very refined plan, leaving the castle from all sides, the castle presents on the ground floor of large reception spaces, lounges, dining room, music lounge and a hall with a monumental staircase leading to 8 bedrooms/apartments, a billiard lounge and a chapel.
