Tupai Island – An exceptional natural and cultural site
Tupai is a coral island of approximately 11 km² , characterized by a double lagoon
and five motus separated by shallow channels. The atoll has no deep pass,
which has allowed for the preservation of a virtually untouched ecosystem.
Long exploited for copra production, the island is now almost uninhabited ,
except for a few government employees. It is a major nesting site for the
green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) , an endangered species.
The project includes concrete scientific and ecological actions, notably
the oxygenation of the lagoon by the creation of channels, in order to restore a
sustainable functional biodiversity, with scientific monitoring over several years.
A unique luxury destination, united by Polynesian Mana
Inspired by the lifestyle of the Polynesians of old, deeply connected to their lands and seas,
TUPAI – BORA BORA aims to redefine what a luxury destination can be:
respectful, visionary, sustainable and deeply rooted in its environment.
More than just an exceptional place, the project embodies a long-term vision, a rare balance between
international prestige, ecological innovation and Polynesian cultural heritage.
